The New York Times called him the “king” of home fragrance and celebrities like Martha Stewart and Elton John regard his nose as the best in the business. Founder and creative force behind Slatkin & Co., the premier home fragrance brand celebrated for its scent experience and design, Harry Slatkin is regarded as one of the country’s fragrance experts.

A former Bear Stearns Director, he created Slatkin & Co. in 1992 when his passion for fragrance developed into a lucrative business. Launched at Saks Fifth Avenue, the brand was quickly picked up by luxury retailers Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys and international stores like Harrods in London, Villa Moda in Dubai and Joyce in Hong Kong. His products became a staple among celebrities, interior designers, architects, editors and diplomats. Fans including Martha Stewart, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Elton John, the Christian Dior company, flocked to Slatkin to create home fragrance collections. In 2005 the legendary retailer Les Wexner recognized Slatkin’s talent and purchased Slatkin & Co. for Limited Brands (NYSE:LTD) He named Harry Slatkin President of Home Design for Limited Brands as well as President of Slatkin & Co. Harry is a contributing editor at Elle Decor and appears regularly on QVC.  He has made numerous guest appearances on such shows as CNN, The Martha Stewart Show, Extra TV, E! News, CNBC, ABC and Comedy Central.

Harry Slatkin oversees product development for all the home fragrance brands under Bath & Body Works, the country’s largest bath and body retailer with over 1650 stores. Most recently Mr. Slatkin was featured in a national advertising campaign for a candle lighter he designed for Zippo. On May 7, 2009 he was honored by his peers with The American Society of Perfumers’ Living Legends Award.

Mr. Slatkin resides in Manhattan and East Hampton NY with his wife, Laura, and their two children, Harry and his wife serve on the boards of various non-profit organizations including Autism Speaks, Henry Street Settlement House, The New England Center for Children and NYCA (New York Center for Autism), which Mr. & Mrs. Slatkin founded, the first charter school for mental health in New York State.
